A claim often begins after the roof has changed and the earlier condition is difficult to reconstruct. A Baseline Roof Record preserves dated, mapped evidence that can support a more organized post-event comparison.
Establish pre-event context
- Roof sections, system information, visible condition, and mapped observations
- RGB and thermal context when collection conditions support it
- Existing anomalies, repairs, penetrations, equipment, and drainage features
- Finding IDs, measurements, status, source evidence, and report references
- Date, inspection context, and record limitations
Document the post-event delta
Following a storm, leak, or other reported event, MAS can collect new evidence and compare it with the same roof map. The review can distinguish documented prior conditions, newly observed changes, unchanged areas, repaired areas, and items requiring additional field confirmation.
Keep the chain understandable
Evidence remains tied to the roof location, collection date, finding ID, source, and review status. This gives owners, contractors, consultants, adjusters, and risk teams a shared reference without changing each party’s responsibility.
